On 31.12.2016, Turkish flagged vessel named YAKUP AGA which was moored in Kumcular pier in Kartal due to bad weather conditions, drifted by breaking its ropes and fell onto the vessel named GÜNEYİN which run aground in the same position.
In order to provide the safety of navigation, life, property and protect environment, Kurtarma 7and ŞARK tug boats and, Kıyı Emniyeti 4 SAR boat were immediately sent to the place of incident by Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services.
As a result of salvage service rendered by our organization, the vessel was secured to Kumcular pier in Kartal on 01.01.2017.
No pollution or loss of life reported.
