On 31.12.2016, Turkish flagged vessel named Güneyin exposed to a sea peril by running aground due to bad weather conditions in position of Kumcular pier, Kartal.
In order to provide the safety of navigation, life, property and protect environment, Kurtarma 7and ŞARK tug boats and, Kıyı Emniyeti 4 SAR boat were immediately sent to the place of incident by Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services.
As a result of salvage service rendered by our organization, the vessel was secured and anchored to Kartal mooring area on 01.01.2017.
No pollution or loss of life reported.
