   VESSELS NAMED PAROS WIND AND CS JADEN HAVE BEEN COLLIDED

 

On 31.08.2015 at 12.30 a.m. 151-meter-long tanker named PAROS WIND carrying fuel oil collided with the 180-meter-long bulk carrier named CS JADEN carrying wheat at a distance of 8 nautical miles to the northern entrance of the Istanbul Strait.   

 

KIYIEMNIYETI-1 SAR boat and KURTARMA-3 and KURTARMA-10 tugboats have been immediately sent to the place of incident and afterwards both vessels were anchored to the Türkeli anchorage area.

 

No pollution or loss of life reported. Because there is no assistance request from both vessels, our vessels left the place of incident.
